Late for registration
The school day starts promptly at 8.55am when registration takes place. If your child is late for school (arrives after 8.55am) they must be signed in at the School Office. Your child will be marked in as late on the school register.
Whilst we appreciate that medical / dental appointments are necessary and that it is not always possible to receive an appointment outside of school hours, we ask that you keep these to a minimum and where possible to make appointments before or after school. If your child will be late to school as a result of a medical appointment, please notify the School Office on 01707 262556. If your child has a hospital appointment during school hours please provide a copy of the appointment letter.
Please report absences on our absence line by no later than 9am on the day of absence. Please call 01707 262556 and select option 1. Please note that as per the Department of Health guidelines, your child should not return to school for 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhoea.
Changes to legislation came into force in September 2013 which made it clear that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. If there are exceptional circumstances behind your request, you should discuss these with the Headteacher, who will then decide if the request can be authorised. Holidays during term time will be recorded as unauthorised and may result in a Fixed Penalty Notice being issued by the local authority.
