Governors

Welcome to our Governing Board

School governors support school leaders to run the school. Running a school is essentially a business – so we help to do that. We plan for the future, we monitor the budget and make sure the education the children is receiving is first class. Being a school governor is a voluntary yet very rewarding.

The governors can be contacted through the School Office on 01707 262556 or by email governors@greenlanes.herts.sch.uk.

Green Lanes Primary School Governing Body consists of:

  • Co-opted Governors (appointed by the Governing Body)
  • Parent Governors (elected by parents/carers of registered pupils on the school roll)
  • LEA Governor (appointed by the Governing Body)
  • Staff Governors (appointed by the Governing Body - includes the Headteacher and a member of staff on the school payroll)
