Welcome to Year 1 Perry and Kahlo Classes
The class teacher for Perry Class is Mrs Badger and the class teacher for Kahlo Class is Miss Pitt. Our wonderful teaching assistants are Mrs Cripps and Mrs Yeboah. They support the learning across both classes.
We will have so much fun this year learning about the many exciting topics we have planned.
During the Autumn term we will be learning drawing and sketching skills, looking at and making mechanisms, exploring changes in our lives, identifying the changes in seasons and weather to name but a few. We will be visiting our local shops on the minibus to compare how the shops have changed.
In the Spring term we will be learning about animals and humans, the lives of significant people, cooking and printmaking.
In the Summer term we will explore textiles, maps and map skills and revisiting many of the other topics we started in the Autumn term.
Throughout the year we will be learning our new phase 5 sounds.
Please do check Google Classroom regularly in order to keep updated with what we are doing in class each week. We send home home learning each Friday afternoon.
