About our Curriculum

At Green Lanes Primary we teach a broad and rich curriculum. Drawing on the National Curriculum for England for the essential knowledge children require to meet year group expectations. We teach an ambitious curriculum which ensures that your child becomes an independent and resilient learner for life.

The ability to learn is underpinned by the teaching of basic skills, knowledge, concepts and values. We constantly provide enhancement opportunities to engage learning and believe that learning at Green Lanes Primary should be a happy, investigative and enquiring time in their lives where there are no limits to curiosity and there is a thirst for new experiences and knowledge.

To support teaching and learning across the school, we use a number of targeted improvement programmes.Our wider curriculum is planned to ensure that learning is well sequenced, engaging and expect children to connect previous learning to current learning and knowledge.
